ILLINOIS STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST

On Saturday, Oct. 24th, at approximately 7:27 a.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding at 100 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 88 westbound at Milepost 30, in Whiteside County. During the traffic stop investigation, the ISP Trooper learned the driver, Darrell D. Seaverson, a 32-year old male of Carpentersville, IL, was Driving While Driver’s License Revoked.  Seaverson was arrested and released on an Individual Recognizance bond and given a date for a future court appearance.

Also  on Saturday, Oct. 24th, at approximately 11:20 p.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding at 102 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 39 southbound at Milepost 101, in Ogle County. During the traffic stop investigation, the ISP Trooper learned Darius Benard Jr., a 19-year old male of Aurora, IL, was Driving While Driver’s License Suspended.  Benard Jr. was arrested and charged with Possession of Ammunition w/o FOID, Driving While License Suspended, Speeding 26-34 Over, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Failure to Signal When Required. Benard Jr. was transported to Ogle County Jail where he awaits a bond hearing.

The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
