ILLINOIS STATE POLICE

On Oct. 23, 2020, at approximately 1:07 a.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding and improper lane usage on U.S. 30 westbound at 9th Avenue. During the traffic stop investigation, the ISP Trooper learned the driver, Stalin A. Coronel, a 29-year old male of Rock Falls, IL, had a suspended Illinois driver’s license. Coronel was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Transportation of Cannabis, Driving Under the Influence, Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Speeding, Improper Lane Usage, Driving While License Suspended, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Coronel was transported to Whiteside County Jail where he awaits a bond hearing.

 On Oct. 22, 2020, at approximately 9:22 p.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for improper lighting (No Tail-Lights) on Everett Street eastbound at Galena Avenue. During the traffic stop investigation, the trooper learned both passengers, Andrew M. Lopez, a 26-year old male of Sterling, IL, and Daniel G. Esquivel, a 20-year old male of Sterling, IL were Wanted on a Warrant. Lopez arrested and charged with Wanted on Warrant. Esquivel was also arrested and charged with Wanted on Warrant (X2). Both Lopez and Esquivel were transported to Lee County Jail where they await a bond hearing.

 On Oct. 22, 2020, at approximately 11:03 p.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for improper lane usage on IL-2 eastbound at Mound Hill road. During the traffic stop investigation, the ISP Trooper learned the driver, Lolita A. Frazier, a 52-year old female of Dixon, IL, was Wanted on Warrant. Frazier was arrested and charged with Wanted on Warrant and Improper Lane Usage. Frazier was transported to Lee County Jail where she awaits a bond hearing.

On Oct. 22, 2020, at approximately 4:15 p.m., an Illinois State Police (ISP) Trooper stopped a vehicle for improper display of registration on 10th Avenue and Avenue K. During the traffic stop investigation, the ISP Trooper learned the driver, Martin A. Sanders, a 45-year old male of Sterling, IL, was Wanted on Warrant. Sanders was arrested and charged with Wanted on Warrant and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Sanders was issued a written warning for Improper Display of Registration. Sanders was released on a cash bond and issued a future court date.

The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
