Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 03-09-2020

-On Friday, March 6th at 9:24A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on U.S. Hwy. 150 in Orion. No injuries reported. The driver of one of the vehicles, Thomas Sherwin (age 57) of Galesburg, was issued a citation for improper overtaking on the right.

-On Friday, March 6th at 4:14P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on N2150 Ave west of Geneseo. The driver of the vehicle, Jace Siebe (age 32) of rural Geneseo, was arrested for driving on a suspended drivers license, fleeing or attempting to elude police, and resisting a peace officer. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

-On Friday, March 6th at 7:20P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Co. Hwy. 23 south of Hooppole, IL. No injuries reported. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, Russell Kempf (age 28) of rural Sheffield, IL., was issued a citation for improper lane usage.

-On Friday, March 6th at 8:27P.M. Henry County Orion Division Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on 10th Ave. in Orion. After initial investigation Deputies arrested Terry Howell (age 43) of Orion. He was issued a notice to appear in court for the charges of assault and disorderly conduct.

-On Saturday, March 7th at 7:01P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Co. Hwy. 5 north of Galva. Non-life threatening injuries reported. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, Julie Demuynck (age 29) of Galva, was issued citations for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper use of an electronic communication device while driving.

-On Sunday, March 8th at 10:20A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a complaint at a residence on Canal Rd. west of Geneseo. After initial investigation Deputies issued a notice to appear in court to Carl Douglas (age 59) of rural Geneseo for the charge of criminal trespass to property.

-On Sunday, March 8th at 10:14P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Main St. in Hooppole, IL. After initial investigation Deputies arrested Todd Cassens (age 53) of Hooppole, and Charity VanDamme (age 45) of Hooppole, both for the charge of aggravated domestic battery. They were taken to the Henry County Jail.
