November 22
Officer was notified several times throughout the week in reference to railroad crossing malfunctions at various crossings.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 4th Street for a neglected dog complaint. It was unfounded.
Officer went to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a burning complaint on a non-burn day.
November 23
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 6th Ave for a welfare check. Officer ultimately forced entry into the house and found the resident deceased. The coroner was notified.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 4th Street for a neglected dog complaint. It was unfounded.
November 24
Officer, along with the fire dept and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to the 800 block of North Center Ave for a complaint of smoke coming from the basement. It was determined to be the Galva sewer department smoking sewers as they checked for leaks.
Officer clocked a vehicle entering the city limits at 105mph on the west edge of town. As the result of a traffic stop, Bradley Reed, 25, Park Forest, IL, was arrested for speeding more than 35mph above speed limit. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave for a power transformer that malfunctioned. Ameren was notified for repairs.
November 25
Officer was dispatched to a motorist assist near the intersection of SW 6th Ave and SW 6th Street.
Officers from Henry Co, Knox Co, and Galva were dispatched to attempt to locate a rollover accident with injuries somewhere north of Altona. The vehicle was found by Knox Co just north of Altona in a field.
Officer assisted the ambulance with a medical emergency at a house on West Division Street.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD in reference to a debit card that was found. The owner was contacted for pick-up.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave for a harassment complaint.
November 26
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 4th Street for a verbal domestic dispute involving a juvenile.
November 27
Officer, along with the fire department and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to Sentry Estates for a report involving a broken water pipe that was spraying water onto an electrical outlet.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 call that plotted there. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
November 28
While patrolling on Market St, officer heard a verbal disturbance in the 300 block of Front Street, but every Galva railroad crossing was blocked by a stopped train. Officer had to go around via Midland Road. The subjects were gone when officer finally arrived to investigate.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 2nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The owners found the dog and took it home.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a physical fight at a residence 2 miles west of town on Route 34. Henry Co made 2 arrests for battery.
Officer was dispatched to a utility wire that came down in the 00 block of SE 4th Street. Ameren was notified for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to an activated alarm in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. IT was determined to be a false alarm.

Jesse Hutchinson, 40, Galva, was issued an AWT for failure to maintain his property with accumulation of junk.
