Officer was dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle abandoned in the 100 block SW 6th Ave. The vehicle was found to have been stolen from Galesburg.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a verbal disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 call that plotted there. Officer was not able to find anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 7th Ave for a verbal domestic dispute.
Officer noticed that all of the Galva railroad crossings were blocked by a train. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to assist with an unruly subject needing ambulance transport on NW 3rd Ave.

October 12
Officers was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog escaped through a defective fence. The dog returned home and the fence was repaired.
Officer was dispatched to the area near Wiley Park for a suspicious vehicle parked there. Officer recognized the subject. No laws were broken and no contact was made.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 2nd Street for a dog bite incident.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7th Ave for a trespassing complaint.
Officer was dispatched to investigate a smoke odor in the SE section of town. Officer located a controlled burn in the 200 block of SE 1st Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a neighbor dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a physical domestic dispute. As the result, Roger Smith, 60, Galva, was arrested for battery. He was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to Route 17 south of the cemetery for a car vs deer accident. Knox Co also responded and handled the crash report.
October 13
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for an unruly juvenile. Crisis intervention was contacted to make arrangements for the youth.
Officer was notified that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossing for an extended time. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 2nd Ave for a civil issue.
October 14
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a medical issue. Stark Co Medic was paged to handle.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 8th Ave for a “threats by telephone” complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 5th Street for a traffic complaint involving speeders.
Officer, along with the fire department and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a natural gas leak in the 100 block of SW 3rd Street. A utility company was digging and had hit a gas line. Ameren was contacted for repairs.
Officer was advised that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to an activated burglar alarm in the 600 block of SE Industrial Ave. Forced entry was found. This remains under investigation.
October 15
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to complete a slow moving vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 4th Street for a juvenile complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 3rd Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 3rd Street for a traffic complaint.
October 16
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to deliver a message for Kewanee PD in reference to a gas drive off.
Officer was dispatched to a motorist assist in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street. Officer helped push the car off the roadway.
October 17
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street to answer questions about a wild animal complaint involving a baby squirrel.
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a residence on West Division Street in reference to a subject that had fallen off a roof.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a report involving a lost / stolen purse.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 3rd Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.

Ryan Fisher, 27, Fisher, IL, was issued a citation in the 200 block of South Center Ave for illegal squealing / screeching of tires.
