Sterling Police

On Saturday, September 4th, Philip D Hughes, 26 of Sterling, was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant and Transported to Whiteside County Jail for obstructing a court order 

Also on Saturday Tyler J Flohr, 28 of Rock Falls, was issued a state ticket for use of an electronic device while driving.

Dixon Police

Mark Much, age 52, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 1000 block of West 3rd Street on Friday, September 3rd, for a Lee County warrant for a Probation Violation for Delivery of Methamphetamine and an Ogle County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Much was taken to the Lee County Jail.

Thayne Rooney, age 30, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 1900 block of Lowell Park Road on Sunday, September 5th, on a Lee County Warrant
for Failure to Appear and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Rooney posted bond and was released.

Thomas E. Bardell, age 23, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested on 900 block of South Galena Avenue on September 5th, for Improper lane usage, No Turn Signal Lights, and Driving under the Influence. Denning was issued citations and was provided a future court date.

Polo Police

Friday, September 3rd, Matthew Noel, 45, Dubuque, IA, was cited for speeding 55 MPH in a 35 MPH speed zone.  Noel was released on an I-Bond.

Monday, September 6th, Aleksei J. Stranberg, 19, Oregon, was cited for speeding 48 MPH in a 30 MPH speed zone.  Stranberg was released on an I-Bond.

Morrison Police

On Saturday, August 28th, 10:30 pm, Morrison Police received a driving complaint of a vehicle westbound on US RT 30 into Morrison. Morrison Police observed the suspect vehicle pull into a parking lot in the 700 block of West Lincolnway. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged, Larry A. Deets, age 49 of Rock Falls, with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Deets was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed and then released on a Notice to Appear.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
