Woodlawn Dance Academy dancers age 3-adult will perform three recitals live and in person at Sterling High School’s Centennial Auditorium. This year’s theme is “The Magical World of Dance.” The Disney-song-filled events are set for Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5th, at Centennial Auditorium, and mark the Academy’s 13th annual dance recitals.
Tickets are available at the Centennial Auditorium Box Office for $12 each. The box office will be open from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, June 1st-3rd. If still available, tickets will also be available at the door. The performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, and 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5th. Seating will be assigned and is limited, so tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Centennial Auditorium is requiring the collection of names and phone numbers of all those planning to attend, so please have that information available when purchasing tickets.
“While the past year has been challenging, our students and staff rose up and once again put so much hard work into our recitals. I’m always incredibly proud of not only these performances, but our entire program,” said Christy Zepezauer, Woodlawn’s executive director. “Our recital weekend is a great chance for anyone interested in starting dance to check out Woodlawn Dance Academy and see all that we have to offer, and we’re all so excited to be presenting in-person recitals once again this year!”
Woodlawn Dance Academy’s four-week summer session classes, along with Woodlawn Arts Academy summer programming, start the week of June 7th, and registration is available now in person at the Academy, by calling 815-626-4278 or online at woodlawnartsacademy.com for some programs.
