Three Additional Laboratory Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Whiteside County

April 1, 2020 – Whiteside County has identified its three additional laboratory confirmed positive case of COVID-19. The cases are in their 20s, 40s and 70s. The Whiteside County Health Department (WCHD) is working closely with the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH), the individual and healthcare providers to identify, quarantine and monitor contacts at risk for signs of illness.

As COVID-19 is spreading in our community, please stay home as much as possible, stay apart by at least 6 feet, and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before preparing or eating food, touching your face and after you return home. We will continue to see additional cases in Whiteside County. To slow the spread of COVID-19, it is important for everyone to take steps to prevent exposure. Stay home and only leave your house for basic needs, including visiting the doctor or buying groceries, medicine, gasoline or similar supplies.
