Senator Anderson Supports Return to Springfield

Senator Neil Anderson is releasing the following statement supporting Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady’s call for lawmakers to return to Springfield to tackle critical issues.

“As this unprecedented public health crisis continues to impact lives throughout Illinois, I want my constituents to know that I stand ready-and-willing to return to Springfield to tackle the critical issues facing our state and its residents, including passing the fair maps amendment and addressing COVID-19 related issues,” said Anderson.

“I respect the need to observe appropriate social distancing and believe it is possible to address some of the key issues facing our state while providing for the health and safety of members of the General Assembly and the staff that supports the work we do. If other units of government are meeting, it’s time for the legislature to do so as well.”
