On Wednesday, March 18 th at approximately 3:44 a.m., Dixon Police Officers responded to the 1300 block of West Fourth Street after a report of shots being fired in the area. Two victims that were inside of a residence at 1309 West Fourth Street were struck by the gunfire. The victims were a 28-year old female and a 32-year old male. Both subjects were transported to KSB Hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the residence of the female victim had been struck with multiple rounds of gunfire. Investigators are actively pursuing a number of leads obtained during the investigation and the shooting appears to be drug related.
