Winter Weather Advisory In Effect Late Tuesday into Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service has announced a winter weather advisory in effect beginning at 9 Pm on Tuesday night and continuing through 6 Am on Wednesday morning. According to the National Weather Service, heavy wind, blowing and drifting snow and bitterly cold temperatures will be part of the weather front moving through the area during the overnight hours. Portions of West and Central Illinois will be in the line of this storm and anyone who will be traveling late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning should be aware that conditions will lead to reduced visibility while driving and potentially hazardous road conditions during the overnight period. Wind chills during this Winter Storm Advisory period could be as low as 20 degrees below zero. Frostbite in these conditions can set in in less than 30 minutes.
