Look for the helpers, that’s the advice many are given in the wake of something disastrous, look for those who are helping. Wethersfield basketball star Lexi Nichols is one of those helpers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of Mike Nichols State Farm Office, Lexi helped launch a Good Neighbor Blessings Box. The Good Neighbor Blessings Box is where anyone who is in need can go and get needed items at no charge.
Donated items were set up on the porch of the Mike Nichols State Farm Office located at 106 East McClure Street in Kewanee. Those in need can go there and are urged to take only what they need. Items such as canned foods, cleaning supplies and even kids games have been placed in the Blessings Box. Not only are people getting needed items, many have donated items for others to take as the concept has become a rallying point for the neighborhood.
If you are in need you can go to 106 East McClure Street in Kewanee. Remember to take what you need and leave what you can for others. Good Neighbor Blessings Boxes have popped up across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to offer help to those in need.
