The Henry and Stark County Health Department announced more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Henry County on Wednesday. According to the Health Department, there are now 39 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Henry County. Stark County still has only 1 confirmed case. Statewide numbers announced on Wednesday afternoon, Governor J.B Pritzker announced 2,049 new confirmed cases. 98 more people have died from COVID-19 as of Wednesday afternoon. This brings statewide totals to 35.108 confirmed cases. 1,556 people in Illinois alone have died from COVID-19. The significant increase in single day confirmed diagnoses of COVID-19 is attributable to wider availability of testing and faster results.
