In one week, Henry County has seen the number of COVID-19 infections rise by 10 cases. According to numbers from the Henry and Stark County Health Department, there were 81 confirmed cases as of Wednesday, June 23rd. As of July 1st, there are now 91 confirmed cases of COVID-19. One person in Henry County, a woman in her 50’s has died from COVID-19. Stark County remains at 3 confirmed cases. The Henry and Stark County Health Department are set to release their latest set of Recovery Rate Data today, Wednesday, July 1st.
Statewide COVID-19 numbers as of Tuesday afternoon, 724 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19. An additional 23 people have died from COVID-19. Overall, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Illinois is up to 143,185. Of that number, 6,923 people have died from COVID-19. The COVID-19 recovery rate is 94% while the seven day rate of infection, for the time period of June 23rd to June 29th was 2.6%. Indicating that of the tests taken during that seven day period, 2.6% came back positive for COVID-19. The lower the seven day rate of infection is, the better off the state is in the fight against COVID-19.
