State Senator Anderson Calls for Halt in Automatic Voter Registration Program

Controversy continues regarding the Automatic Voter Registration program in the state of Illinois. Secretary of State Jesse White testified before committee last week and indicated that the issues with the system had been worked out and that the system should be functioning property going forward. That assurance however, is not enough for State Senator Neil Anderson who is calling for a stop to automatic voter registration, at least for the time being.

Currently, Illinois is one of 18 states that allows automatic voter registration.
