Second Case of COVID-19 in Henry County

A man in his 60’s is the second confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in Henry County. The Henry County Health Department announced the first two cases on Friday. The first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Henry Countybwas a woman in her 20’s. Later on Friday, a second announcement, a man in his 60’s had tested positive. “The Henry County Health Department is following all the of guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and taking all the necessary precautions with these cases. Our staff is working to identify, investigate, and actively monitor individuals who were in close contact with the patients,” said Duane Stevens, Pubic Health Administrator of Henry County Health Department. “We understand this development causes heightened concern; however, the health and safety of our residents is our highest priority.”

Current COVID-19 numbers in Illnois: 4596 in 47 Illinois Counties. Since COVID-19 was first diagnosed in Illinois, 65 people have died from the Virus.
