Regional Media to Air Concert for Hunger April 10th

Regional Media is teaming with the Illinois Broadcasters Association for the Concert for Hunger, April 10th from 12 Noon until 5 Pm. The concert will air live on all Regional Media stations. It will also be available via and all associated social media sites. Performers will be announced this week in a joint announcement of Regional Media and the Illinois Broadcasters Association. Performers will be performing live from their homes. The Concert for Hunger will benefit food pantries across Illinois, including those in Kewanee, Quad Cities, Galva, Toulon and more. Regional Media, one of Illinois’ largest locally owned and operated media companies, announced a partnership with the Illinois Broadcasters Association and Feeding Illinois to bring hundreds of thousands of concert lovers together in the Inaugural Regional Media Concert for Hunger event.

The Concert for Hunger will feature performances by many Illinois local and regional artists, and a few artists that will be released in the days to come. Most will broadcast from their own homes, filmed with their personal cell phones, cameras and audio equipment, to ensure the health and safety of all involved. As we unite throughout Illinois to combat hunger and food bank shortages in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Regional Media encourages viewers and listeners of the Concert for Hunger to contribute monetary donations to bolster dwindling food supplies at local food banks.

The goal of the Concert for Hunger is to raise awareness and dollars so food banks can purchase the food they need to adequately serve the hungry in their local communities. There are eight independent food banks serving 102 counties in Illinois, all of which are represented by Feeding Illinois.
