Peru Illinois Police Release Photos of Vehicle Believed to be Involved with Monday Morning Kidnapping

The Peru, Illinois Police Department have released still images taken from a security camera of a vehicle believed to be involved in the kidnapping that occurred early Monday morning in Peru, in the area of 7th and Plum Street. According to information released by the FBI on Monday, the alleged kidnapping was reported to police at 5:05 Am via more than 1 911 call. Callers reported hearing a girl screaming and an eyewitness indicated having seen what looked like a 14 to 16 year old female being taken by two male suspects in put into a vehicle that quickly left the scene. Initially, the vehicle was believed to be a pick up truck. However, newly released security camera stills indicate the vehicle is a white SUV, either late 90s or early 2000s model. The vehicle has also been described as a pick up truck with a topper. In a post on social media, Peru Police indicated that they believe this to be an isolated incident.
