The Federal Communications Commission announced on Wednesday afternoon that OSF Healthcare is among four Illinois Healthcare providers to receive a grant for furthering telehealth services. According to the release from the FCC, OSF Healthcare System in Peoria, Illinois was awarded $943,644 for telehealth devices that provide video and telephonic connections between patients and providers, with a particular focus on the low-income and hardest-hit areas in the community it serves. OSF Healthcare has yet to comment on the grant or how it will be divided among the hospitals that operate under the OSF Healthcare banner.
