NOAA Weather Radio Highlighted as Part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week

They call it "the smoke detector of thunderstorms". It's the NOAA weather radio says Peter Speck with the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities. That device is especially being highlighted this week during Severe Weather Preparedness Week and in the aftermath of deadly storms in Tennessee that occurred during the overnight/early morning hours of Tuesday.

Severe Weather Preparedness Week runs through Saturday.
