Local Girl Scout Seeking High Honor with Gold Award

A local Girl Scout is seeking one of the highest individual honors in Scouting. According to Jacque Komnick with Girl Scouts Service Unit 889, Lauren Anderson of Cambridge could be in line to receive the Gold Award, a rare award that only around 5% of Girl Scouts actually achieve. Jacque explains Lauren's selfless project that could earn her high honors but is certainly earning her the thanks of her fellow students at Cambridge High School…

A group of local Girl Scouts are seeking the Bronze Award and the Silver Award as well and you can hear Jacque Komnick talk about those incredible projects in our Tuned In Podcast interview linked here. Meanwhile, we also took time to ask Jacque Komnick how Girl Scout Cookie Sales are going this season…

Girl Scount Service Unit 889 were the recipients of our Regional Media Hometown Hope Grant for the month of February.
