Kewanee Schools Superintendent Dr Chris Sullens Discusses COVID-19 Response

Dr Chris Sullens joined WKEI on Tuesday morning to discuss his reaction to Governor Pritzker’s decision to close all schools in the state. Dr Sullens takes us through a timetable succession of the decisions as they were made. Dr Sullens tells us that the missed school days will not be made up as they have been deemed ‘Act of God’ days. Kewanee Schools will be providing breakfast and lunch for Kewanee students at the schools where the food is prepared, Central, Neponset and Kewanee High School. Sack lunches will be prepared daily and delivery of sack lunches to those students who don’t have transportation to get to the school is being worked out. Call the schools for further details on getting lunch for your student at home that needs it. Call (309) 853-3341 with any questions regarding school breakfast and lunch.
