Kewanee Police Participating in National Drug Take Back Day October 23rd

The Kewanee Police Department has announced that the Kewanee Police will be participating in the National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23rd. Kewanee Police Chief Nick Welgat made the announcement on Tuesday and invited anyone with any expired medications or medications that do not belong to them, for whatever reason, to drop those drugs off at the Kewanee Police Department on Saturday, October 23rd between 10 Am and 2 Pm. National Drug Take Back Day is part of a national effort to fight back against prescription drug abuse. If you have expired medications or you happen to have prescription drugs that were not prescribed to you for whatever reason, simply bring those drugs to the Kewanee Police Department on October 23rd. Do not flush these drugs or throw them away as they can still be harmful to someone else. Dispose of your prescription drugs on Saturday October 23rd or at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center where they have a drug take back bin that is available to the public.
