Kewanee Planning Commission to Discuss Possible Changes to Kewanee Disturbing the Peace Ordinance

The City of Kewanee Planning Commission will meet in council chambers later this month with two items on the agenda. The first item is a variance for 1109 N. Main St., Tom Greiner, Madison Mini Storage, establish Zoning for property being annexed into the city limits of the City of Kewanee. The other item will be a discussion regarding the City of Kewanee Disturbing the Peace and Noise Ordinance. The Planning Commission will discuss possible changes in order to recommend changes to the ordinance to address concerns brought forth by citizens and the Kewanee City Council. Nothing will be voted on regarding these changes at the Planning Commission Meeting but the discussion may form the basis of changes that are then recommended to the Kewanee City Council. Check the City of Kewanee website to find out when the meeting will take place. The public is allowed to attend planning commission meetings and participate but they must wear a mask and maintain distance.
