The Illinois State Police are putting out a renewed call for tips in the 28 year old murder of college student Tammy Zywicki. Tammy Zawycki was a 21 year old college student from Evanston, Illinois who was traveling alone to Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa when, on August 23rd, 1992, she went missing. That day, Zywicki’s 1985 Pontiac T1000 was found on the side of Interstate 80 near Utica, Illinois in LaSalle County. No sign of Zywicki was found in the vehicle. On August 23rd, witnesses indicated seeing a semi and trailer on the side of the road near where Zywicki’s car was found.
