Illinois State Police District 7 Release Activity Report for March

The Illinois State Police have released their March activity report. According to information revealed by Illinois State Police District 7, State Troopers in District 7 issued 552 citations, 498 written warnings, and made 29 criminal arrests during the month of March. Speeding accounted for 195 citations, 74 citations were issued for occupant restraint violations, and 41 citations were issued for distracted driving violations. Troopers investigated 36 traffic crashes, assisted 203 motorists, and conducted 266 commercial vehicle inspections, 28 of which were placed out-of-service for safety reasons. There were 8 arrests for driving under the influence. District 7 encompasses Rock Island, Henry, Knox, and Mercer counties. There was one traffic crash fatality in March.
