There are two new cases of COVID-19, the technical term to describe coronavirus, in Illinois. Democrat Governor JB Pritzker says as the state announces the new cases he will be ready to stand in front of cameras and microphones to clearly address what the state is doing and how its responding.
The two sick individuals are a husband and wife in their 70’s. He assures people that the risk to the broader public in Illinois is still low. But with existing state resources and past training on how to deal with a disease outbreak the state stands ready.
The Governor says funding won’t be a problem in as the state responds to coronavirus.
