Henry County Sheriff Announces Restrictions at Henry County Jail

Henry County Sheriff Kerry Loncka has announced new restrictions at the Henry County Jail related to COVID-19. According to the release from the Henry County Sheriff, inmate visitation has been cancelled. The activity of the 14th Judicial Circuit Court has been suspended. Inmate Church and A.A meetings have been suspended. There will be no fingerprinting for the time being and no inmate property drop off. Those who wish to get something to an inmate at the Henry County Jail can contact the Sheriff’s Office about mailing the item. Sheriff’s Property Sales are on hold until further notice. The Sheriff’s Department will not be conducting any evictions until further notice. There will be no job shadowing, ride-alongs, or internships and courthouse tours are cancelled as well. In the statement announcing the suspension of activities, Sheriff Kerry Loncka said “These measures are being to protect our employees as well as our citizens. When the pandemic has passed, we plan to reinstate these activities. Thank you for your patience and stay safe.”
