The Henry and Stark County Health Department have announced that their offices and clinic will remain open. The Henry and Stark County Health Department have a lot of work to do, they’ve been tasked with enforcing many of the public health guidelines set forth by Governor Pritzker and to meet that challenge they will remain open though their will be some restrictions on appointments for the time being. The Health Department will be limiting appointment needs at this time to strictly acute ill visits.
Duane Stevens, Public Health Administrator with the Henry and Stark County Health Departments states, “Of course, our staff will be following stringent infection control protocols for the present COVID-19 situation. However, our staff is dedicated to making a difference in the health of 60,000 area residents. And at this time we are continuing to track the rise and spread of communicable disease in our counties; and working in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control to conduct measures and dispense information to mitigate community spread of COVID-19.
