The number of COVID-19 cases in Henry County is up to 113. According to numbers released on Friday, Henry County has now seen, since the start of the pandemic, 113 positive cases of COVID-19. Stark County remains at 6 confirmed cases. This announcement came on the same day that the state of Illinois had it’s largest number of positive COVID-19 tests in over a month. On Friday, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,317 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. 25 more people were announced to have died from COVID-19 on Friday.
Over the weekend, more than 2000 more new positive tests for COVID-19 were added to the running total on the IDPH website. The total now stands at 153,916 positive tests since the start of the pandemic. 7,144 people have died from COVID-19. The recovery rate for the state of Illinois does offer some good news. According to IDPH, the recovery rate now stands at 94% of patients who have tested positive having recovered from COVID-19. New numbers will be announced on Monday afternoon. The Henry and Stark County Health Department will release their latest recovery rate data for Henry and Stark County on Wednesday.
