The Henry and Stark County Health Department released their latest COVID-19 numbers on Thursday afternoon. By the number, Henry County is now at 4,319 confirmed positive or probable cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. That’s an increase of 9 new cases since numbers released on Wednesday afternoon. Stark County added 2 more new new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday for a pandemic total of 537 confirmed positive or probable cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began nearly 1 year ago.
As for the latest statewide COVID-19 numbers, the Illinois Department of Public Health on Thursday announced 1,884 new confirmed positive or probable cases of COVID-19. Along with that announcement came word that 32 more people in Illinois had died from COVID-19. That brings the pandemic totals to 1,187, 226 confirmed positive or probable cases of COVID-19 and 20,406 people who have died from COVID-19. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from February 18–24, 2021 is 2.5%. As of Wednesday night, 1,463 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 334 patients were in the ICU and 168 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
