Four New Covid-19 Confirmed Diagnoses Lead to Disaster Declaration from Governor

At a press conference on Monday, Governor J.B Pritzker announced that there are four more cases of COVID-19 in Illinois and that he has decided to make a formal disaster proclamation, the Illinois version of a state of emergency. Governor Pritzker says the step is necessary as new issues arise in the ongoing fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

There are now 11 official cases of COVID-19 known in the state.
