Bishop Hill Heritage Announces More than $17,000 in Grants

The Bishop Hill Heritage Association over the weekend announced more than $17,000 in grants that have been awarded for Bishop Hill Arts programs for 2020. Among the highlights, Bishop Hill Heritage received a grant of $1000.00 from the Bill and Susan Sherrard Foundation to support educational presenations. The Geneseo Community Foundation has donated $500.00 to the Bishop Hill Heritage Association to be used for the Bishop Hill Chatauqua which is set to take place on August 22nd and will have a literary theme.

Community State Bank has announced a $500.00 contribution that will go towards one of the more unique events of 2020, a concert in honor of the music of Abba called "Dancing Queen" 

The Chicago based SWEA has announced a $300.00 grant to the Bishop Hill Heritage Association for educational programming. That money will go toward the November event in Bishop Hill, The Dala Horsepainting Workshop. 

And finally, the largest single gift received by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association this season has come from the Illinois Arts Council which awarded Bishop Hill Heritage $15,700 that will go to support numerouis events over the 2020 seasons in Bishop Hill.
