Betty’s Garden Kewanee Seeking Name for Innovative New Therapy Robot

Betty's Garden Memory Care in Kewanee is seeking help in naming their innovative new therapy robot, a robot cat. Doug Currier and Kelly Shiraki from Betty's Garden Memory Care in Kewanee were our guests on People to People on Thursday and Kelly explained the nature of this unique robotic feline… 

Doug Currier tells WKEI that this innovative approach to comfort therapy was developed by people in the memory care industry who were looking for ways to help ease agitation and anxiety in memory care patients… 

The robot cat does not have a name yet but it will soon. In a video posted to the Betty's Garden Memory Care Facebook page the staff requested that the public help give the robot cat a name…
