AlWood Schools Getting Technology Upgrade Courtesy of Country Financial

The AlWood Community School District #225 is getting a technology upgrade courtesy of a generous donation by Country Financial. According to the release from Country Financial, a check for $4000.00 was delivered to AlWood School on Monday by Country Financial Representative Todd Greenman. The generous donation will allow the district to purchase Chrome Books which will be distributed to students for online or E-Learning purposes. The Chrome Books will be used both in the classroom and for at home learning as part of a hybrid scheduling plan that AlWood is operating on during the first quarter of the new school year.

“Living and working in this community, I am proud to demonstrate COUNTRY’s vision ‘to enrich lives in the communities we serve’ through this opportunity and make sure our students and teachers have the resources they need to continue learning through these challenging times,” said Greenman. “It is important to me that we continue to support our community in many ways and help ensure a successful future for our local students and families.”

Mr Greenman is himself a former AlWood student and an assistant basketball coach with Ridgewood. His wife is also an employee of the school district. In addition to investing in the communities it serves through individual representative and agency donations, COUNTRY Financial will donate more than $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders, healthcare professionals and active duty service members. Each donation supports the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.”
