Team Rubicon Responding to DePue Village to Provide Clean-up Services

Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization, is launching Operation Off to the Races to help the Village of DePue after recent heavy rains.

On May 28th, heavy rains caused severe flooding in many homes throughout the Village of DePue. Team Rubicon will be mobilizing members to provide site surveys, muck-out, and debris removal services. Team Rubicon is a non-profit group made up of volunteers and provides all of their services free of charge.

“We’ve seen the damage these heavy rains have caused for many in the community and hope we can provide some relief for those affected. The community has welcomed us and we’re grateful to be able to serve them”, says Team Rubicon Incident Commander, Maggi Thomas.

Team Rubicon was founded in 2010 following the massive Haiti earthquake. Over the course of 10 years, Team Rubicon has created a network of 120,000+ volunteers, who we call Greyshirts, made up of veterans, first responders, and civilians. We have deployed on over 650 operations in response to natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
