La Salle County’s total of COVID-19 confirmed cases has reached 39 after six new cases were announced Wednesday. The La Salle County Health Department in a news release says the new cases are a man in his 80’s, a woman in her 60’s, two men in their 50’s, a man in his 40’s and a man in his 20’s. All are in isolation. Thirteen of the 39 have recovered.
The La Salle County Health Department also says they expect the number of confirmed cases to rise in the coming weeks as Illinois is not projected to “peak” with COVID-19 infections until mid-May.
The health department urges residents to adhere to all of the required precautions necessary to protect their families and the community, to slow the spread of COVID-19.
