Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico District Offers Free Development Screenings

The Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico Unit District will offer a free screening for Prophetstown, Lyndon, and Tampico Pre-school/Kindergarten children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years of age.

 

The purpose of the screening is to provide parents with a measure of their child's development in areas important to learning.  This screening is also for children who are entering Kindergarten and have never been in a Pre-school class setting.

 

To be screened by the PES staff; your child must be three on or before August 31", 2020.  A speech evaluation will be conducted as well. All screenings will be held at the Unit District Office in Prophetstown from 8:15 to 2:30 on Friday, March 13th, 2020.

 

Appointments are recommend but walk-ins are welcome; however, appointments will be scheduled for the next available time slot.  Starting on February 10th, call the Prophetstown Elementary at 815-537-2345 to schedule a screening appointment for either the March screening or April screening.

 

Your child does not have to be toilet trained to attend the Pre-K screening in March or April.
