No Injuries In Car vs. Train Accident In Peru

Peru Police Chief Doug Bernabei says there are no injuries after a train vs. car collision in Peru.  Bernabei says Peru officers and the Peru Fire Department were dispatched to a train vs. vehicle collision around 3:15 Friday morningUpon arrival, officers found an lowa Interstate locomotive had struck a pickup truckIt was believed the unoccupied truck was parked at a local residence before rolling onto the railroad tracksNo one was injured but the truck sustained significant damage.  The lead locomotive, along with a second locomotive and six train cars were damaged as well.  Bernabei says after speaking with operators of the train, it was believed the damaged train cars were empty.  A state crash report was completed.
