More COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend in Bureau and Marshall Counties

The Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments are reporting that 22 additional residents of Bureau County and two residents of Marshall County have been reported as testing positive for the coronavirus. Public health officials were notified of the positive tests, according to state and local public health protocols.  The health department reports the individuals are recovering at home.

There have now been 375 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments.  Bureau County has had 322 confirmed cases while Marshall County has had 39 and Putnam County 14.  The first case was reported on March 23.

Bureau County remains on the state’s COVID-19 warning level.  The health department reminds you that, in addition to daily testing available at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital, drive-up testing will be offered for free in DePue on Tuesday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
