Illinois Department of Public Health Gives Coronavirus Update

While no new cases have been reported in the state, Illinois Department of Public Health officials say there is evidence of community spread in other countries, and they’re working to prevent that here.

Aside from testing and creating a hotline to answer questions, public health officials are providing routine briefings to state lawmakers.

They also urge the public to stay home when sick, cover coughs and sneezes, wash hands frequently and other routine hygiene methods.
