Freedom House To Hold "Power of Love" Benefit

Everyone is invited to attend a fundraising benefit for Freedom House to help support services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.  The event takes place on Saturday, March 28 at 6 pm at the Kewanee Dunes Golf Club in Kewanee.

The fun-filled evening is inspired by the 1985 hit song, “The Power of Love,” by Huey Lewis and the News and will commemorate April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The evening features a champagne reception, food and drink, and dancing to live music by Martin Engineering’s Blood Orange Band.

A live auction is also planned to help Freedom House pay for vital services for victims and their dependents affected by sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Event tickets and more information are available on the Freedom House website, www.freedomhouseillinois.org.

Freedom House is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation offering support — always free of charge, regardless of income — for victims of domestic and sexual violence in Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties.
