The Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Department on Monday reported four new Bureau County cases of COVID-19. The new cases are a male teenager, a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s. All four are recovering at home. There have now been 337 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the three-county region. Bureau County has had 287 confirmed cases, Putnam County 14 and Marshall County 36.
The La Salle County Health Department is reporting four more COVID-19 related deaths. A woman in her 70s, two women in their 90s and a man in his 90s passed away, increasing the number of deaths countywide to 34 since the beginning of the pandemic. Additionally, there were six new confirmed COVID-19 cases, increasing the total number of cases to 962 since the start of the virus. Ten people who previously tested positive were released from isolation, increasing that total to 463 and dropping the number of active cases to 465.
