To celebrate Valentine’s weekend, Festival 56 is presenting “Love, Love Me Do!,” a virtual cabaret of hit tunes and love songs from the 1950s and 60s. Nine artists known from their past performances in Princeton are returning to the virtual stage to share some of their Motown, Rat Pack and rock-and-roll favorites.
The cabaret premieres on the Festival 56 YouTube channel at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 11, and will be available for viewing until midnight, Sunday, February 14. The cabaret is made possible by a grant from The Arts of Starved Rock Country Fund, with additional funding from the Community Arts Access Program of the Illinois Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
