Bureau County Gets Fifth Positive Test For COVID-19 – La Salle County Reaches 22

A fifth resident of Bureau County has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a health department news release.
The 53-year old man was screened and tested by an area hospital. Public health officials were notified of the positive test.  The man is recovering at home.

Federal privacy restrictions prohibit the release of any additional information.

This is the fifth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Bureau County.  The previous cases were reported on March 27, March 31, April 3 and April 7.
Meanwhile, the La Salle County Health Department has confirmed two more cases of COVID-19.  The two women, one in her 20’s and the other in her 60’s, are in isolation. The new confirmed cases bring La Salle County’s total to 22.
