Buda Library To Remain Open After Referendum Passes

Mason Memorial Library in Buda will remain open after voters in Manlius, Macon and Concord Townships passed a referendum making it a district library.  The referendum passed with 183 yes votes and 60 no votes.  Had voters chosen against making it a district library, it would only have had enough money to remain open one year after this current fiscal year ends.  Library Director Peg Norton Foster says it takes around $24,000 per year to operate Mason Memorial Library.
