Regional Media announces five-time GRAMMY® nominee and Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner, Matthew West as its headline performer for the inaugural We’re Blessed concert.
The inaugural We’re Blessed concert is set to air December 23rd, 2020 at 4:00 PM(cst). The concert will be featured across all Illinois Regional Media radio stations, websites, and social media channels. In addition, outstanding members in the Illinois broadcast community, Big Z Media Alton, IL, Prairie Communications Monmouth, IL are just some of the radio stations that have partnered to spread the message.
Each year, the We’re Blessed concert will feature unbelievable community pride that has been shown throughout each year. This year Regional Media has selected OSF Healthcare as our partner as they have shown incredible leadership and compassion throughout the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. The We’re Blessed concert focuses on praising everyday community members for their unbelievable support to their neighbors. The ongoing mission of the We’re Blessed concert is to communicate the simple message of Thank You. From medical professionals and first responders working around the clock, local restaurants providing food, and so many other residents and businesses in and around our communities, have shown great determination to help each other.

Matthew West is a five-time GRAMMY® nominee, a multiple ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner, and a 2018 Dove Award Songwriter of the Year (Artist) recipient and has RIAA Gold certified and RIAA Platinum-certified singles. He has received an American Music Award, a Billboard Music Award, a K-LOVE Fan Award, and named Billboard’s Hot Christian Songwriter of the Year. West also received a Primetime Emmy® Award nomination for Original Music & Lyrics for the title track for the feature film “The Heart of Christmas.” In addition to his own recording career, he has more than 130 songwriting credits to his name, including cuts by Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Mandisa, Danny Gokey, and others, along with back-to-back No. 1 song by Casting Crowns including their single, “Nobody,” which features West. He was also nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 2019 for Casting Crowns’ song, “Only Jesus,” as a songwriter. West also co-wrote Jeremy Camp’s multi-week No. 1 song, “Keep Me In The Moment.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, West has continued to host his weekly “Quarantine Quiet Time” from his home studio with his family, and he released two new songs that went viral: “Quarantine Life” and “Take Heart.”
