‘Tiny Dances’ Comes to Macomb Arts Center Friday

The Western Illinois University Theatre and Dance composition class will present its final creations, “Tiny Dances,” at 7 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the Macomb Arts Center in downtown Macomb.

“Tiny Dances” is a solo created in a five-foot-by-five-foot square.  Students were assigned to create in a restricted area using the tools of choreography they learned throughout the semester.  The class is taught by Theatre and Dance Instructor Donald J. Laney.

Students presenting as part of the program include Olivia Bishop of Alexis, Valerie Cambron of West Lafayette, Joe Collins of Sherrard, Clarissa Consoli of Roselle, Megan Graal of West Chicago, Caleb Johnson of Lewistown, and Tori Lynn and Jamie Rediger of Henry.

Admission to the performances is free and doors to the Macomb Arts Center open at 6:45 p.m.
