McDonough County Health Department Seeking More Families for WIC Program

The McDonough County Health Department is looking to help even more families with Women and Infant Children Care, otherwise known as WIC. WIC is a supplemental nutrition plan that aids pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children 5 years old and under in eating well and staying healthy. WIC provides nutrition education, Breastfeeding education and support, Health Screenings, and supplemental foods to those that qualify. As of July 1st, qualifying income and household sizes have been expanded which allows the McDonough County Health Department the chance to offer help to even more families.
