Fugitive from Florida Found and Arrested in Carthage

The United States Marshals Violent Fugitives Task Force appeared in Carthage on Tuesday to make an arrest. According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, members of the task force were in Carthage and arrested 51 year old Andres Barrales of Hallandale, Florida on Felony charges for crimes committed in Indian River County in Florida. Barrales was living at a residence on Adams Street in Carthage at the time of the arrest when the Fugitive Task Force executed the warrant for his arrest on Tuesday.

Barrales was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence Manslaughter, Driving While License Permanently Revoked, and Driving Under the Influence with Three Prior Convictions involving Serious Personal Injury. Barrales was taken to the Hancock County Jail to await disposition. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office aided the U.S Marshal’s Task Force in the arrest of Barrales.
